DevOps Engineer | South Jordan, UT September 2019 – August 2025

Role Overview: Managed infrastructure and systems supporting multiple development teams. Responsibilities included infrastructure operations, automation, monitoring, application delivery, scripting, systems management, and support for enterprise infrastructure environments.

  • Created/Managed Azure Kubernetes Service/K8S multi-zone multi-region clusters along with CI/CD pipeline using GitHub Actions for Insights/Observability platform. Ran scalable applications like Fluentbit, Grafana, Mimir, Loki, InfluxDB v1/v2, monitoring agent healer, and other utility apps to support hybrid VMWare and Azure VMs/App Services environment.

  • Primary player in migration from private to public cloud (VMware, NetApp, Big IP F5 to Azure.

  • Configured internet health checks for customer data exchanges (usually firewalled SFTP instances) and supported apps like AWX for Ansible.

Role Overview: Played the role of systems engineer, network engineer, SRE, and occasional full-stack developer to support hosted applications. Built and managed rack infrastructure from the ground up for an agile software environment in startup mode. I was a one man army in many aspects.

Worked on an international open source blockchain project using Scala (RChain). Supported development, CI/CD, releases, monitoring, automation, and infrastructure for 20–30 internal developers across the US, Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia, and Belarus.

  • Heavy use of Github, GitLab, GitLab CI/CD, Travis CI, and Git to support complex runner setups for five local developers & 20-30 international.
